Naimh Farrell and 6th Class

Mr Reynolds’ 6th class presented Niamh Farrell a cheque from the proceeds of a No Uniform day in Lurgybrack NS. Niamh is a past pupil of the school and is currently in UCD studying Medicine. Last summer Niamh traveled to Haiti where she worked in a Sports and Literacy Camp for children aged 4-12 years of age.The children in the camp also received two meals at camp each day. Niamh was in a group of 15 volunteers altogether. They also constructed a house for a family of 13. Niamh will be travelling to Haiti again this summer. She will be located in a small town called Gros-Morne. We wish her all the best.
