On Monday the 14th of March 2016, our school team went out to play the semi – final and the final of the Elaine Winston Memorial Cup. We were unbeaten throughout the group stage and had topped our group. We played our semi – final against Kilmacrennan NS and won the game. The Scoil Colmcille came on top of their semi – final against Illistrin NS. Before our final we paid respect to the people that fought in the 1916 Rising by singing our National Anthem. Our game got under way with a good performance coming in at half time with the lead of 6 points. But the second half the Boys’ school improved and got a few points, now the difference was just 2 points between us but we got another point in the last minute of the game to win it. The final score was 1-3 to 1-6 to us. It was a good day and we got our trophy in the end. Adam, Nathan, Oisín and Kyle.

Congratulations to the boys who won the Elaine Winston Friel Memorial Cup
