Firefly Foot & Ankle Clinic want to send the fastest kids in the land to compete against New York’s fastest.
Fireflys’ Fastest Feet is the search for the quickest boy and girl in the land, no older than 8 years of age before 22nd of February 2016.
Children were tested on their fastest speed over a ‘flying 20 metres’. Using speed gates, the child’s time is recorded as they run, full speed, through 2 gates 20 metres apart.
Last night I was running in Finn Valley. My time was 3.27 seconds. The winner was 3.17. I got a certificate. The race was over a distance of 20 metres. The girls went first for the trial. Thaen the boys went for their trial. When I went I was last in the line. I wanted to win because my sister lives in New York. Ryan 2nd Class
On Tuseday the 26th of January I went to Finn Valley. I was running in a competition to find the fastest kid in Donegal U8. I had to run 20 meters. I ran it in 3:48 seconds. The winner was a girl from Letterkenny. Her time was 3:03. Eilís 3rd Class
